Aronne Pleuteri is a real life artist who lives in Milan but secretely whishes he lived in a cartoon. He was born in 2001 which is a critical year for the art of mass-spread representation of violence.

Pleuteri’s work moves around different disciplines in the constant and desperate attempt of translating an 'Imaginary' realm into the realm of 'Reality'. It is precisely this impossibility and this enormous gap of disbelief generating what he calls a “congenite violence of the world” - a private and incommunicable suffering which seems to be expressible only through the technique of Irony - a colorful veil of mirth, which is revealing, at the contrary, a territory of awareness and political sharing.

Death, Disease, Violence, Pain, but also the complex relationship with coal-related machinery, are now the colorful masks that agitate an endless tragicomedy.
